A Nampally court has rejected the bail pleas of the accused in the murder of senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin, dealing a major setback to those arrested in the case. The court refused to grant bail after considering the seriousness of the charges and the ongoing investigation.
Khaja Moizuddin, 63, was critically injured on May 23 after a speeding Mahindra Scorpio allegedly rammed into him outside his residence in Masab Tank, Hyderabad. He later succumbed to his injuries. Police suspect it was a planned murder linked to long running land and Waqf property disputes.
Police have arrested several accused, including Mahboob Alam Khan, his son Mujahid Alam Khan and others. Investigators believe the murder was carried out as part of a planned conspiracy and are continuing to collect evidence against those allegedly involved.
The victim’s family welcomed the court’s decision and expressed confidence that justice would be served. The investigation is ongoing and further legal proceedings are expected in the coming weeks.
