Three Arrested in Chandrayangutta for Murder of 17 Year Old Kalapathar Teen

The Hyderabad City Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a 17 year old boy in the Kalapathar area of the Old City. The accused were apprehended near Chandrayangutta following an intensive investigation.

According to police, the victim, Faiz Mohammed alias Azaan (17), a resident of Biryanishah Tekri, was attacked in the early hours of July 19 at around 2:30 a.m. The three accused had allegedly gone to the locality looking for another person. When Faiz questioned their presence, an argument broke out, which quickly turned violent. Two of the accused allegedly attacked him with sharp edged knives, while the third assaulted him with fists. Faiz suffered multiple grievous injuries and died at the scene.

The arrested accused have been identified as:

  • Mohammed Abrar
  • Mohammed Ismail alias Farhaan
  • Mohammed Ashfaq

During the investigation, Kalapathar Police examined eyewitnesses, collected forensic evidence and analyzed technical clues before tracing the suspects. Acting on specific information, the police arrested all three near Chandrayangutta.

Police recovered:

  • Two blood stained knives believed to have been used in the murder.
  • Blood stained clothes.
  • An Activa scooter allegedly used by the accused.
  • Three mobile phones.

The accused have been booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. Police said further investigation is underway to determine the complete sequence of events and motive behind the crime.
