Nirmal: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana has arrested a Forest Section Officer for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹12,000 in Nirmal district.
According to ACB Press Note No. 153, Aindla Ravinder, Forest Section Officer, Khanapur Range and Division, Nirmal District, was caught red-handed by ACB officials of the Adilabad Range on October 8, 2026.
The ACB alleged that the officer demanded and accepted ₹12,000 from the complainant for showing an official favour. The alleged bribe was reportedly sought for visiting and forwarding the inspection report to higher authorities regarding the renewal of a Timber Depot licence.
The ACB stated that the alleged bribe amount of ₹12,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused officer.
The officer is being arrested and will be produced before the Hon’ble Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Karimnagar. The case is under investigation, according to the ACB.
The ACB said the identity and details of the complainant have been withheld for security reasons.
The department has also urged the public to report demands for bribes by public servants through the ACB toll free number 1064 and its official communication channels.
