In a major crackdown against unauthorized medical practice, Warasiguda Police arrested a fake doctor who was allegedly treating patients illegally without any medical qualification at a medical shop in Warasiguda.
The accused has been identified as Nannuta Madhav (42), a resident of Warasiguda and native of Bhupalpally. According to police, the accused had failed Intermediate studies and did not possess any valid medical, clinical, or pharmacy credentials.
Police stated that the accused had been operating an illegal clinic under the name “Madhava Medical Shop” for nearly a year. Investigators revealed that he allegedly misused the drug license of his friend, Kunta Archana, to run the unauthorized medical business and administer treatments to patients.
Acting on credible information about the illegal activities, the police conducted a decoy operation. A head constable in plain clothes reportedly visited the clinic posing as a patient. While the accused was attempting to administer an injection to the undercover officer, the police team raided the premises and caught him red-handed.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to administering scheduled injections, including Diclofenac and Tetanus Toxoid (TT), without prescriptions from qualified doctors.
Police seized illegally stocked injection vials and a Samsung mobile phone allegedly used for business transactions. A criminal case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway.
The police department warned that strict legal action would be taken against unauthorized individuals practicing medicine and endangering public health.
Officials also urged citizens to seek treatment only from qualified Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and authorized hospitals or clinics.
The statement was issued by the Inspector of Police (SHO), Warasiguda Police Station, Secunderabad Zone, Hyderabad.
