The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory asking IT companies, other organisations and educational institutions to take precautionary measures in view of a forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall from September 17 to September 25.
The advisory was issued after a meeting involving Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M. Ramesh, IPS, senior traffic police officials, the CEO of SCSC, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police and ACPs/SHOs of the Traffic Wing. The meeting discussed the expected weather conditions and the possible impact on traffic movement.
IT Companies Asked to Consider Early Logouts
- In view of the weather forecast and the expected Ganesh immersion processions, Cyberabad Traffic Police conducted a virtual meeting with heads of IT companies and educational institutions operating in the Cyberabad area.
- Companies and organisations have been requested to consider early logouts in a staggered manner and encourage employees to work from home from September 18 to September 25, from 2 PM onwards.
- The traffic police said these measures are intended to reduce travel-related risks and ease pressure on the city’s road infrastructure during the period of adverse weather and increased movement.
Schools Urged to Consider Online Classes
- Educational institutions have also been requested to consider conducting online or virtual classes during the affected period.
- According to the advisory, the move is aimed at minimising travel related risks and inconvenience for children while also supporting the smooth functioning of essential services during adverse weather conditions.
Advisory Covers September 17-25
- The Cyberabad Traffic Police have asked companies, schools and other institutions to plan their operations in advance, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours when travel volumes could place additional pressure on roads.
- The advisory comes as Hyderabad and surrounding areas prepare for potentially challenging weather conditions alongside Ganesh immersion related traffic movement.
