Hyderabad: A delegation of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) met the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and submitted a formal complaint seeking an investigation into allegations that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has multiple voter registrations.
The BRS leaders alleged that Revanth Reddy’s name appears in more than one electoral roll and urged the Election Commission to verify the records and take action if any violations of election laws are found. They also requested a thorough inquiry into the matter and sought deletion of any duplicate entries, if confirmed.
The delegation submitted supporting documents to the CEO, claiming these indicate multiple voter registrations linked to the Chief Minister. BRS stated that maintaining accurate electoral rolls is essential for ensuring free and fair elections and demanded a transparent investigation.
The complaint comes amid heightened political tensions in Telangana over voter list revisions and electoral roll verification. The issue is expected to intensify political debate ahead of upcoming elections.
As of now, there has been no official response from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy or the Telangana Congress regarding the allegations. The Election Commission is expected to examine the complaint and verify the claims before deciding on any further action.
