Uttar Pradesh, Rampur: The proposed demolition drive at Mohammad Ali Jauhar University has been temporarily stopped after the Moradabad Divisional Commissioner’s court granted an interim stay on the demolition of 38 campus buildings.
The stay means bulldozers will not proceed with demolition until the court gives a final decision on the matter.
The action was initiated by the Rampur Development Authority (RDA), which alleged that several university buildings were constructed without approved building plans. The university challenged the demolition order legally.
