Indian airlines have started operating special flights from several Gulf countries to bring back passengers affected by the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The move comes as airspace restrictions, flight cancellations and security concerns have disrupted normal travel across the region.

Major carriers including Air India and IndiGo deployed additional flights from key Gulf cities to ensure that stranded passengers, including Indian nationals, can return home safely. Authorities said the decision was taken after many travellers faced delays or cancellations due to the ongoing tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

Airlines said the special services are operating from major regional hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, where many passengers had been unable to travel due to flight disruptions. Additional crews and aircraft have been arranged to handle the sudden demand.

Officials said the flights are being coordinated with aviation authorities and diplomatic missions to ensure smooth travel and safety for passengers. Indian embassies in Gulf countries have also been assisting travellers by providing information and support at airports.

The conflict has caused widespread disruptions to aviation routes across the Middle East, forcing airlines to avoid certain airspaces and adjust flight paths. Aviation experts say the situation could continue affecting international travel if tensions remain high.

Indian authorities said they are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to arrange more flights if required to assist citizens and other travellers impacted by the crisis.
