Hyderabad: In a major step towards strengthening women’s safety, Revanth Reddy has launched the “Spandana All Women First Responder System” in Hyderabad.
The initiative introduces 14 dedicated response teams, staffed entirely by women from drivers to field personnel aimed at providing rapid assistance to women and children in distress across the city. The system is designed to ensure quicker response times and create a sense of safety and reassurance for those facing emergencies.
Officials from the Telangana Police stated that these teams will remain on constant alert, enabling immediate intervention in critical situations. The move is part of a broader effort by the Government of Telangana to enhance public safety and strengthen trust in law enforcement.
Authorities say the “Spandana” system reflects a focused approach towards gender-sensitive policing, with an emphasis on accessibility, rapid response and dedicated support for vulnerable groups.
With this launch, Hyderabad takes another step forward in building a safer and more responsive urban environment for women and children.
