In a major breakthrough, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Police arrested an inter state habitual two wheeler theft offender and recovered four stolen motorcycles valued at approximately ₹8 lakh. The recovered vehicles were linked to theft cases registered across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
The accused, Vishwakarma Mohan Kumar alias Undekode Mohan (32), a native of Narayanpet district in Telangana, was found to be involved in multiple motorcycle theft cases spanning several states. During the operation, police recovered and seized four premium motorcycles, including three Royal Enfield bikes and one Pulsar motorcycle.
According to investigators, the accused specifically targeted automobile showrooms and service centers. He allegedly took advantage of reduced staff presence during lunch hours and stole high end motorcycles parked outside after servicing.
Acting on technical intelligence, surveillance inputs, and sustained investigation, RGIA Police successfully traced and apprehended the offender. The arrest led to the detection of four separate theft cases and the recovery of the stolen vehicles.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO B. Sanjeev and Detective Inspector Pavan Kumar, with the active involvement of the crime team. Senior officers of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate commended the team for their swift action, effective investigation and successful recovery of the stolen property.
Police stated that further investigation is underway to determine the accused’s involvement in additional vehicle theft cases and to identify any possible accomplices.
