Bandlaguda Police have successfully solved a house breaking by night case reported from EWS Colony, Ghouse Nagar and arrested a habitual woman offender allegedly involved in the theft. Stolen property worth approximately ₹15 lakh has been recovered from the accused.
According to police, the incident occurred while the complainant and his family were away on a pilgrimage to Yadagirigutta. Upon returning home, the family discovered that unknown persons had allegedly broken into their house and stolen gold and silver ornaments after forcing open the locks of the house and almirah.
During the course of the investigation, police developed suspicion based on credible evidence and previous disputes involving a neighbour of the complainant. The accused, identified as Kapari Narsamma (44), a labourer residing in EWS Colony, Ghouse Nagar, Bandlaguda and originally from Khanapur village in Mahabubnagar district, was taken into custody for questioning.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to committing the theft after learning that the family was away from home. Police said she broke open the house and almirah locks before stealing the valuables.
Acting on the information provided by the accused, police recovered 8.2 tulas of gold ornaments, 1.08 kilograms of silver ornaments, and the tools allegedly used in the commission of the offence. The total value of the recovered property is estimated at around ₹15 lakh.
The accused has been remanded to judicial custody. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine whether she was involved in any other similar offences in the city.
