Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has appealed to the state’s youth not to be influenced by what he described as the “Political trap” laid by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), alleging that the opposition party was attempting to mislead unemployed youngsters for political gains.

Responding to the BRS’s “Yuva Sangrama Sadassu” held in Hyderabad, where BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused the Congress government of failing to fulfil its employment promises, Revanth defended his government’s record on recruitment and youth welfare.

The Chief Minister said his government has been conducting transparent recruitment through the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and issuing appointment letters to thousands of successful candidates. He maintained that the Congress government is committed to filling all government vacancies and creating more employment opportunities for the youth.

Revanth alleged that the BRS, despite being in power for a decade, failed to effectively address unemployment and was now attempting to divert public attention from its own record. He urged young people to evaluate governments based on their performance rather than political campaigns.

Meanwhile, KTR reiterated that the Congress had failed to honour several promises made in its pre-election “Youth Declaration,” including commitments on government jobs and unemployment assistance. He challenged the government to substantiate its recruitment claims, intensifying the political confrontation between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS.
