INPR: Hyderabad: The Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) has successfully performed cardiac surgeries on 19 children suffering from congenital heart diseases during a special Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Camp held from September 6 to 12.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated the NIMS medical team for successfully completing the surgeries and appreciated the doctors for their efforts in treating children with serious heart conditions.
Doctors Dr. D. Ramana Dhannapuneni and Dr. M. Amaresh Rao met the Chief Minister following the successful completion of the cardiac surgery camp and expressed their gratitude.
Surgery on 2 Kg Infant
- One of the most notable cases involved a two month old baby weighing only 2 kilograms. The medical team successfully performed the required heart surgery on the infant.
- Chief Minister Revanth Reddy particularly appreciated the doctors for successfully carrying out the complicated procedure on such a young and low weight baby.
- The successful surgeries are being seen as an important achievement for pediatric cardiac care at NIMS and provide hope to families of children born with heart related conditions.
- Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy and Jagtial MLA Dr. M. Sanjay Kumar were also present during the programme.
- The Chief Minister praised the entire NIMS medical team for their dedication and contribution to providing advanced cardiac treatment to children.
