Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced that the party is preparing to launch what he described as “Jantar Mantar Season 2” signalling a fresh phase of its protest campaign in the national capital.
Dipke made the announcement on Wednesday after the CJP recently concluded a 36 day protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak issue.
New phase of protest planned
- Speaking to reporters and party volunteers, Dipke said people had been repeatedly asking on social media when the next phase of the Jantar Mantar campaign would begin.
- He indicated that the new campaign would start “very soon” although he did not announce a specific date, location or detailed list of demands for the next protest.
- The announcement suggests that the CJP intends to continue using public protests as a central part of its political activities.
Focus expected to shift towards education
- According to reports, the CJP is planning a nationwide “listening tour” focused on education and public grievances.
