US President Donald Trump has said he expects the United States to win its ongoing conflict with Iran “very soon” and predicted that oil prices would fall sharply once the war ends.
Trump made the comments while speaking to reporters on Sunday. He linked the end of the conflict to lower energy costs and said he expected oil prices to return to levels seen before the war.
“I think what’s going to happen is we’re going to win this war very soon, and as soon as we win it, the oil will go down, way down to what it was before the war,” Trump said.
