A Tahsildar (AO) of Govindaraopet Mandal in Mulugu district was caught by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on September 18, 2026, while allegedly accepting a ₹14,000 bribe.
According to the ACB press note, the accused officer, Nellutla Srikanth Kumar, was caught red handed at the Mandal Revenue Office in Govindaraopet while allegedly accepting the money from a complainant.
The ACB said the officer had initially demanded ₹15,000 and later agreed to ₹14,000 after negotiations. The alleged bribe was reportedly sought for showing official favour in connection with the succession of ancestral agricultural land in favour of the complainant’s wife.
During the trap, the ACB recovered the alleged bribe amount from the officer’s right side trouser pocket. The ACB also said that a chemical test conducted on his right hand fingers produced a positive result.
The accused officer is being arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Warangal. The case is under investigation.
