Iranian Parliament Speaker and senior negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a strong warning to the United States, saying Washington should be careful with its statements and actions because Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
Ghalibaf’s remarks come amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington despite ongoing diplomatic contacts and ceasefire discussions. He stated that Iran would not accept pressure, threats, or what it considers excessive demands from the US, and warned that any violation of agreements or hostile action would receive a “crushing response.”
The warning follows recent comments by US President Donald Trump, who has maintained a tough stance on Iran and called for changes in Tehran’s regional policies. Iran has rejected such pressure and insists that it will continue defending its national interests and sovereignty.
Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized that the country’s military remains on high alert and is prepared for all scenarios. Ghalibaf said Iran has “no hesitation” in responding if it believes its rights or security are being threatened.
The comments highlight the fragile nature of current US-Iran relations. While diplomatic contacts and ceasefire efforts continue through regional mediators, major disputes remain unresolved, including sanctions, regional security concerns, and the future of the Strait of Hormuz.
