The Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to a Survey and Land Records Department official in connection with a disproportionate assets case and reportedly unearthed assets worth ₹13.05 crore.
According to ACB officials, searches were carried out at the residences and other properties associated with the accused officer after allegations surfaced that the official had amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During the raids, investigators reportedly discovered a range of movable and immovable assets, including residential properties, plots of land, bank deposits, gold ornaments, vehicles and other investments. Preliminary estimates placed the total value of the assets at approximately ₹13.05 crore.
The ACB stated that the searches were conducted under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and that a case had been registered against the official for allegedly acquiring assets beyond legitimate earnings during the course of service.
Officials said that a detailed assessment of the seized documents and financial records is currently underway to determine the exact extent of the disproportionate assets. Further investigation is expected to ascertain whether additional individuals were involved in facilitating the accumulation of the wealth.
The Anti Corruption Bureau reiterated its commitment to taking stringent action against corruption and public servants found misusing their positions for personal gain.
The case has drawn attention due to the substantial value of the assets uncovered and is expected to proceed through further legal and departmental processes based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
