Hyderabad Man Objects After Being Called Pakistani

A dispute at a residential society in Hyderabad has sparked outrage after a resident was allegedly called “Pakistani” during an argument with a housing society official. The incident, which was recorded on video and widely shared on social media, has drawn attention to issues of discrimination and communal sensitivity.

The incident took place in a housing society in Kapra on the outskirts of Hyderabad. According to reports, the argument began over issues related to an unregistered tenant and rent payments. During the heated exchange, the society secretary allegedly referred to a resident couple as “Pakistani” triggering a strong reaction.

In the viral video, the man firmly defended his identity, stating that he is an Indian citizen and that his grandfather served as a Subedar in the Indian Army. He can be heard objecting to the remark and questioning how anyone could doubt his nationality.

The couple also alleged that they were accused of being in the country to “plant bombs” a statement that further escalated tensions during the confrontation.

Police personnel reached the spot and intervened to calm the situation. According to local police, the dispute stemmed from a tenancy-related issue. Both parties were counseled, and the matter was resolved at the scene.

Officials said the society secretary later apologized for the remarks. No criminal case was registered, and no physical violence was reported during the incident.

The episode has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many users criticizing the use of nationality based insults during personal disputes and expressing support for the resident who challenged the comments.
