Golconda Police Recover 24 Lost Mobile Phones Through CEIR Portal in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad City Police achieved a major success after recovering 24 lost and stolen mobile phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and technical investigation in the Golconda area of Hyderabad.

According to police officials, the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners on May 24, 2026, at Golconda Police Station. The handover was conducted by Syed Fiaz in the presence of police personnel and complainants.

Police said the mobile phones were traced from different locations based on complaints filed by victims. The successful recovery operation was carried out through technical tracking and coordinated efforts by the detective and crime teams of Golconda Police Station.

Officials stated that the operation was led by DSI Anjaneyulu and the Crime Team under the guidance of Inspector P. Saidulu and Detective Inspector P. Anjaiah. The entire investigation was supervised by ACP Syed Fiaz of the Tolichowki Division, Golconda Zone.

The police urged citizens to immediately report lost or stolen mobile phones either through the CEIR portal or at the nearest police station. Officials said early reporting helps police trace devices quickly and improves the chances of successful recovery.

The CEIR portal is a government system designed to help track, block and recover lost or stolen mobile phones across India. Hyderabad Police have been actively using the portal to recover missing devices and return them to citizens.
