The Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested two officials of Moinabad Municipality in connection with an alleged ₹75,000 bribery case.
According to ACB Press Note No. 147 dated September 30, 2026, the accused are:
- A-1: Town Planning Officer, Moinabad Municipality
- A-2: Senior Assistant, Moinabad Municipality
The ACB said the officials were caught while allegedly demanding and accepting a ₹75,000 bribe from a complainant.
Alleged Bribe for Not Taking Action
- According to the ACB, the complaint was lodged by Yelamoni Sudarshan, a former Panchayat Secretary of Moinabad Gram Panchayat who is presently working on deputation as a Senior Assistant in Moinabad Municipality.
- The complainant alleged that the officials demanded the bribe in connection with construction work and threatened to take action against the construction by treating it as illegal if the amount was not paid.
- The ACB said its officials caught the accused during the operation and recovered ₹75,000 from the possession of A-2.
Officials Produced Before Court
- The ACB stated that the two accused allegedly acted improperly and dishonestly to obtain an undue advantage.
- Both officials are being produced before the Hon’ble Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Nampally, Hyderabad, for judicial proceedings.
- The investigation is continuing, according to the ACB.
