Hyderabad: Ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and immersion processions, Attapur Police conducted a special coordination and awareness meeting with DJ sound system operators and owners at Attapur Police Station.
During the meeting, police briefed DJ operators about the noise pollution guidelines and directions issued by the Telangana High Court and the State Government. Officials made it clear that the use of high-decibel DJ systems during the festival will not be permitted.
According to the instructions communicated by police, organisers will be allowed to use only two standard sound boxes, and these must operate within the prescribed decibel limits.
Police warned that high powered DJ systems, sound walls and multi speaker setups are prohibited. Violations could lead to strict criminal action against both DJ operators and event organisers.
The police also warned that sound equipment used in violation of the guidelines will be seized immediately.
Attapur Police appealed to Ganesh festival organisers, DJ operators and the public to cooperate with the authorities and follow the prescribed noise regulations to ensure peaceful and safe celebrations.
The meeting was conducted under the direction of the Station House Officer (SHO), Attapur Police Station, Rajendranagar Zone, Hyderabad City.
