Saidabad Police have arrested a 21 year old auto rickshaw driver in connection with the murder of Md. Fasi Ahmed Ameer, who was killed on August 4, 2026, at Singareni Colony.
According to police, the accused allegedly had a long standing personal grudge against the deceased. Following an altercation, he allegedly attacked Fasi Ahmed Ameer with a knife, resulting in his death.
After the incident, the accused allegedly disposed of the knife in Saroor Nagar Lake in an attempt to destroy evidence. During the investigation, police traced and apprehended the accused and seized the auto rickshaw allegedly used in connection with the crime, along with blood stained clothes and a mobile phone.
With assistance from the HYDRA Disaster Response Force, police subsequently recovered the alleged murder weapon from Saroor Nagar Lake.
A case has been registered as Crime No. 258/2026 under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Saidabad Police Station.
The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and remanded to judicial custody.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Sri Khare Kiran Prabhakar, DCP, Charminar Zone, with the support of senior officers from Charminar Zone and Saidabad Division.
