Hyderabad: In a significant operation, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Jubilee Hills Zone, in coordination with Mailardevpally Police, apprehended two alleged interstate offenders and seized illegal firearms, ammunition, mobile phones and a vehicle from their possession.

Acting on credible information, police intercepted a Baleno car bearing registration number TS23F1701 near Mehfil Hotel in Mailardevpally. During the operation, the suspects were detained and subjected to verification.

Police seized two country made pistols, seven live rounds of ammunition, three mobile phones and the vehicle allegedly used by the accused. The total value of the seized property is estimated at approximately ₹5 lakh.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mudassir Hussain alias Shah Baba (24), a car dealer from Hyderabad and Ameer Khan (26), a resident of Nanded in Maharashtra.

According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were allegedly in possession of illegal firearms and were suspected of planning organized criminal activities in the city for wrongful gain.

Further verification reportedly showed that both accused have been involved in multiple criminal cases registered across Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The cases include allegations related to Dacoity, Kidnapping, Murder, Robbery and Violations of the Arms Act.

The accused, along with the seized material, have been handed over to Mailardevpally Police for further investigation and legal proceedings. Authorities are also probing whether the suspects have links to any larger criminal network operating across state borders.
