Police in Hyderabad have busted two illegal food cases, showing how some people are playing with public health for money.
In the first case, a team raided “Chand Bakery” in Tappachabutra and arrested a man named Syed Khadeer (42). Police found that bakery items were being made in very dirty conditions without any proper licenses. Products worth about ₹2.77 lakh were seized. These items were being sold to local shops, cafes and hotels.
In the second case, police uncovered a shocking racket in Mangalhat. Around 12 tons of stale and spoiled sheep and goat meat were seized from a store. One person, Rafi Ahmed, was arrested, while the owner is still missing.
Police said the accused were buying spoiled meat cheaply and storing it in freezers and water to hide the bad smell. They were then selling it as fresh meat to hotels and events.
Officials say this is not just one or two cases. In the past month, many such incidents have come out. It clearly shows how some people are risking public health just to earn money.
Police have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in such illegal activities. They also asked people to stay alert and report anything suspicious.
