Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a massive ₹58,000 crore investment to expand its cloud operations and data centre infrastructure in Telangana, marking one of the biggest technology investments in the state.
The agreement was formalized during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, where AWS and the state government signed a pact to accelerate cloud infrastructure development. The investment will be spread over the coming years and is aimed at strengthening Telangana’s position as a global cloud and data centre hub.
A Major Boost to Telangana’s Tech Landscape
This large scale investment will focus on building new data centres, expanding cloud capacity and supporting advanced digital technologies such as AI, Machine learning, Analytics and Enterprise cloud solutions. The expanded facilities will serve startups, enterprises, government platforms and developers across India.
The Telangana government has promised full support through dedicated infrastructure, policy facilitation and business friendly processes to ensure smooth implementation.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy hailed the investment as a strong indication of global confidence in Telangana’s governance and long term growth vision. He said the partnership will strengthen the state’s digital economy, create jobs and attract more global tech leaders.
