Counting Nears Completion, Several Key Seats Declared
The counting of votes for the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections is nearing completion, with multiple constituencies already declaring their winners. Early indications point to a sweeping mandate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which has comfortably crossed the majority mark in the 243 member Assembly.
Strong Lead for NDA
The NDA has surged past the 122 seat mark, with trends showing strong leads in more than 170 constituencies and continuing to edge toward a massive 200 plus victory. Analysts say the results reflect voter approval for the coalition’s governance model and welfare driven agenda.
Declared Winners from Key Seats
Several constituencies have officially declared their results, including:
- Danapur: Ram Kripal Yadav (BJP) has been declared the winner after completing all rounds of counting.
- Kochadhaman: Md. Sarwar Alam (AIMIM) has secured a decisive win, marking an important gain for his party in the Seemanchal region.
- Other Seats: More results are being finalized, with dozens of constituencies already confirming their winners as counting reaches its final stages.
Opposition Struggles to Hold Ground
The Mahagathbandhan (RJD Congress alliance) has fallen significantly short of expectations, trailing in most regions. Early gains in a few pockets were overshadowed by strong NDA performances across urban and rural constituencies.
What Comes Next
With counting almost complete and the mandate clearly established, all eyes are now on the formation of the new government. Leadership decisions, cabinet formation and future policy direction are expected to take center stage in the coming days.
