In a major initiative to strengthen skill development and improve employment opportunities for students, the Department of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hetero Pharmaceuticals.
The MoU aims to enhance industry institution collaboration and provide Government Junior College students across Telangana with practical exposure, industry relevant skills and better career prospects.
The agreement was exchanged in the presence of Smt. Abhilasha Abhinav, IAS, Director of Intermediate Education, along with Yenkya Nayak, Joint Director, Dr. Jyothsna Rani, Principal of the State Institute of Vocational Education (SIVE) and senior Hetero officials including Dr. S. Venkata Jayapal Reddy, Vice President – HR, Madhuri I., Senior Manager – HR and Karnakanti Venu Madhav, Officer – HR.
Under the partnership, Hetero Pharmaceuticals will support students through industry interaction programmes, campus recruitment drives, skill development training, internships, faculty exposure and laboratory support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The collaboration will primarily benefit Intermediate and Vocational students, especially those pursuing Life Sciences and allied disciplines.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Abhilasha Abhinav, IAS, said the collaboration reflects the department’s commitment to providing meaningful career opportunities for students by equipping them with industry relevant skills and creating pathways to sustainable employment in the pharmaceutical sector.
Dr. S. Venkata Jayapal Reddy, Vice President – HR, Hetero Pharmaceuticals, said the company is proud to partner with the Department of Intermediate Education and contribute to Telangana’s vision of enhancing youth employability. He added that the initiative is expected to create more than 300 employment opportunities for Intermediate qualified youth.
The Department of Intermediate Education described the partnership as a significant step toward strengthening vocational education, improving employability and building long term collaborations with leading industries to benefit the youth of Telangana.
