SpaceX has officially filed for what could become the largest initial public offering (IPO) in history, targeting a valuation of around $1.75 trillion and potentially raising up to $75-80 billion from investors.
The filing revealed major financial details about the company for the first time, including its growing focus on Artificial intelligence, Satellite internet and Digital infrastructure.
According to the IPO documents, SpaceX estimates its future market opportunity at approximately $28.5 trillion, with nearly 93% tied to artificial intelligence related businesses and services. The company is increasingly positioning itself not just as a space exploration company, but also as a major AI and communications technology player.
A key part of this strategy comes from the integration of Elon Musk’s AI company xAI into the broader SpaceX ecosystem. Analysts say the company plans to combine satellite networks, orbital computing infrastructure and AI powered systems to build future global data and communications platforms.
The filing also revealed that SpaceX quietly holds 18,712 Bitcoin worth around $1.45 billion, making it one of the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holders. The company reportedly purchased the Bitcoin at an average cost near $35,000 per coin, giving it significant unrealized gains at current prices.
Financial disclosures showed that SpaceX generated nearly $18.7 billion in revenue during 2025, largely driven by its Starlink satellite internet business. However, the company also reported heavy spending and multibillion dollar losses due to massive investments in AI Infrastructure, Rocket development and Satellite expansion.
Founder Elon Musk is expected to retain strong voting control after the IPO through special share structures.
If completed, the listing would surpass previous global IPO records and instantly make SpaceX one of the most valuable companies in the world. Analysts say the IPO could become a defining moment for the future of AI, space technology, and digital infrastructure investment.
