Hyderabad: The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force), Telangana, in coordination with Allapur Police of the Cyberabad Commissionerate, has apprehended a suspected interstate drug peddler in Madhapur, Hyderabad, and seized four MDMA (Ecstasy) pills, three LSD blots and a mobile phone.

According to an EAGLE Force press note, the accused was identified as Seelam Raju Mohan, 27, a native of Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, who was residing in Parvath Nagar, Madhapur.

  • Police said preliminary investigation indicated that the accused had travelled to Goa with friends on October 1, 2026, where he allegedly obtained four Ecstasy pills and three LSD blots from a person identified as Baba alias Babu, through an alleged intermediary, Raju Uma Mahesh.
  • According to the police, the accused returned to Hyderabad with his friends on October 7 and allegedly kept the substances in his flat. EAGLE Force personnel, along with Allapur Police, subsequently raided the premises and apprehended him.
  • The press note also stated that the alleged procurement of two Ecstasy pills following a request from a Snapchat contact identified as Haritha is part of the investigation.

Three Others Yet to Be Traced

  • Police identified Baba alias Babu, Raju Uma Mahesh and Haritha as persons allegedly connected to the case who are currently absconding. Efforts are reportedly underway to trace them and investigate the suspected supply network.
  • Investigators are also examining the seized mobile phone and other evidence to identify possible links to the procurement, transportation and distribution of narcotic substances.

Case Registered Under NDPS Act

  • A case has been registered at Allapur Police Station under Crime No. 442/2026 under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation is in progress.

EAGLE Force Appeals for Public Cooperation

  • EAGLE Force stated that its investigation focuses not only on seizing suspected contraband but also on identifying suppliers, intermediaries, distribution networks and financial links connected to drug trafficking.
  • The agency urged young people not to become carriers or intermediaries for drug networks in exchange for quick money or personal gain. Parents, educational institutions and community members were also asked to remain vigilant and report credible information about suspected drug related activities.
