Chilakalaguda Police Crack Brutal B.Tech Student Murder Case. 10 Accused Arrested in Hyderabad

Chilakalaguda murder case of B.Tech student

In a swift breakthrough, the Chilakalaguda Police have solved the brutal murder case of 21 year old B.Tech student Bommana Yavan alias Akhil, who was killed on the night of May 7 in Medibavi, Indira Nagar Colony, under the Chilakalaguda police station limits. Police have arrested 10 accused, including a minor, in connection with the case.

How the Crime Unfolded

According to police, the victim was allegedly attacked around 9:45 PM on May 7 with sharp weapons, targeting his neck and other vital parts of the body. The assailants fled the scene after confirming his death.

The complaint was lodged by the victim’s father, Srinivas, following which a case (Cr. No. 231/2026) was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 103(1), 189(1)(4), and 191(3) read with 3(5).

Accused Arrested

Police arrested the following individuals:

  • A1: Allaboyina Sai Kiran alias Sai (27), private employee and rowdy sheeter
  • A2: Rajam Paramesh Kumar Yadav alias Don (19)
  • A3: Rajam Vamsi Krishna alias Rakhi (19) main accused
  • A4: Rajam Manish alias Bichu (21)
  • A5: Srigiri Rahul (22)
  • A6: Kuchula Shiva Nandan Yadav (20)
  • A7: Rajam Narasimha Yadav (50)
  • A8: Rajam Srisailam Yadav (48)
  • A9: Rajam Mallesh Yadav alias Mallanna (48)
  • CCL-1: A juvenile in conflict with law

Motive Behind the Murder

Police investigation revealed that the victim Yavan was in a relationship with a young woman named Chandrika. Accused A1 Sai Kiran reportedly had intentions to marry her and developed deep resentment towards Yavan.

Authorities stated that 4-5 days before the murder, the accused allegedly conspired at Medibavi to eliminate Yavan.

Seized Material

During the investigation, police recovered:

  • Sharp weapon used in the attack
  • Blood stained clothes of the accused
  • Electric scooter and mobile phones used during the crime

Police Warning and Statement

The Hyderabad City Police have issued a strict warning against taking the law into one’s own hands and inciting violence on social media.

Authorities emphasized:

  • Vigilance against provocative online content
  • Strong legal action against vigilante behavior
  • A scientific and transparent investigation process

Secunderabad Zone DCP Rakshita Krishnamurthy, IPS, stated that strict action will be taken against all those involved and assured that justice will be delivered through the court system.

“We will not tolerate any disruption to peace and order. The accused have been swiftly apprehended, and we will ensure they face strict legal consequences,” the DCP said.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
