CP VC Sajjanar Felicitates Youth

V. C. Sajjanar honoured a young man, Mohammad Feroz, for his bravery in rescuing an eight year old girl from danger in Hyderabad. The felicitation took place at the old CP office in Bashir Bagh, where Feroz received a shawl, a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward.

The incident happened on April 1 in the Abids area. The girl, who was returning home from school, was allegedly taken away by an auto driver. He reportedly drove her towards Golkonda and behaved inappropriately.

At the same time, Feroz, who was coming out of a nearby mosque, noticed the girl crying inside the auto. Sensing something was wrong, he quickly stopped the vehicle and questioned the child. Frightened, she told him that the driver was misbehaving. On being confronted, the accused fled from the spot, leaving the girl behind.

Feroz immediately informed the girl’s parents using contact details from her ID card. Meanwhile, Abids police constables Sai Krishna and Kedar Singh responded quickly after receiving the alert. They reached the location, ensured the girl’s safety, and reunited her with her parents.

Police later arrested the accused on April 2, seized the auto, and sent him to judicial remand.

Speaking at the event, CP Sajjanar praised Feroz for acting responsibly and not staying silent during a crime. He said such timely action sets a strong example for society. He also appreciated the police personnel for their quick response and urged citizens to stay alert and help maintain a safe community.

Senior police officials, including Additional CP Tafseer Iqbal and other officers, were present at the event.
