Tehran: Iran’s Ministry of Health has reported that at least 20,984 people have been injured since the start of the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel, underscoring the growing humanitarian impact.
Officials said the number of casualties continues to rise as hostilities persist across multiple regions. A significant number of those injured are believed to be civilians, placing increasing strain on hospitals and emergency services.
Health authorities also noted that damage to medical facilities and infrastructure has made response efforts more challenging, while the surge in patients has stretched resources.
The conflict has led to widespread disruption and heightened concerns over a deepening humanitarian crisis, with calls for greater international attention to protect civilians and ensure access to medical care.
