Patna: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form the new government in Bihar before November 22, 2025, according to Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Rashtriya) chief, Chirag Paswan.
Speaking to the media, Paswan confirmed that party leaders are finalizing a blueprint for government formation, with clarity on the power sharing arrangement expected “by today or tomorrow.”
The NDA secured a decisive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, winning 202 out of 243 seats and is now preparing for the swearing-in of the new Cabinet. Reports indicate that the oath taking ceremony is likely to be held on November 20, 2025, at Gandhi Maidan, Patna.
Sources say the NDA is holding final talks on ministry allocations to ensure a smooth transition of power. The term of the current Bihar Legislative Assembly ends on November 22, making it imperative for the new government to be in place by that date.
Meanwhile, outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to resign after chairing his last Cabinet meeting, paving the way for the new NDA-led administration.
This government formation marks a significant political moment in Bihar, as the NDA prepares to take charge after its strong electoral mandate.
