A Hyderabad court has sentenced a man to rigorous life imprisonment for murdering his wife in Kulsumpura in 2022, marking the successful conclusion of a meticulously investigated domestic violence case.
According to the Hyderabad City Police, the incident occurred on July 15, 2022, when the accused brutally attacked his wife following a domestic dispute. Police said he assaulted her with a pair of scissors before strangling her to death.
The Kulsumpura Police under the Golconda Zone conducted a detailed investigation and filed a strong case supported by effective prosecution. Based on the evidence presented, the II Additional Sessions Judge Court, Nampally, on July 23, 2026, convicted the accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for murder.
The court sentenced the accused to rigorous imprisonment for life and imposed a fine of ₹2,000.
Hyderabad City Police stated that the conviction reflects the dedicated efforts of the investigating officer, the prosecution team, and court duty staff in ensuring justice for the victim.
