Hyderabad: Telangana’s EAGLE Force, in coordination with Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police and with assistance from Goa Police, has apprehended three suspects in Goa in connection with an alleged interstate drug supply network linked to Telangana.
According to an EAGLE Force press note, the investigation has revealed a potentially extensive network of drug consumers and intermediaries. One principal accused allegedly maintained more than 800 contacts or customers in Telangana, along with an additional network in Andhra Pradesh. Police said these figures are still subject to verification.
Main Accused Apprehended in Goa
- One of the key accused, Priteesh Narayan Borkar, 36, also known as Babu and Khali, was apprehended in Goa on October 12, 2026, following surveillance by the EAGLE Force team.
- According to investigators, he allegedly operated from the Anjuna area of Goa and maintained contacts with customers and sub-peddlers involved in the supply of drugs to Telangana and neighbouring states.
- The press note states that Borkar was previously booked in an NDPS case registered at Osmania University City Police Station in 2022, in which ecstasy pills, LSD blots and MDMA were reportedly seized. He is also named in cases registered at Ramgopalpet and Lalaguda police stations and is stated to have been absconding in cases registered at Miyapur and Allapur police stations.
- Investigators are examining his alleged connections with other suppliers and whether the network continued operating through intermediaries.
Second Suspect Apprehended; Drugs Seized
- EAGLE Force, with the assistance of Goa Police, also apprehended Basharath Ahmed Dhagga, 46, who is known by several aliases, including Bilal, Jahan Dhagga and Mansur Ahmed, in North Goa.
- According to the press note, the operation resulted in the seizure of 13 LSD blots, eight ecstasy pills and approximately 100 grams of charas, with an estimated value exceeding ₹1.5 lakh. A case was registered at the Central Crime Station in North Goa.
- The investigation is examining the suspect’s alleged supply links and connections with others suspected of involvement in interstate drug trafficking.
Telangana Cases Under Investigation
- The operation is also linked to cases registered in Telangana involving the alleged procurement and distribution of ecstasy pills and LSD blots.
- In a Miyapur Police Station case (Crime No. 1342/2026), a suspect was reportedly apprehended near Miyapur Metro Station on September 17, 2026, with 14 ecstasy pills allegedly intended for delivery to customers.
- In another case registered at Allapur Police Station (Crime No. 442/2026), an alleged intermediary was apprehended in connection with the procurement and proposed delivery of ecstasy pills and LSD blots.
- Investigators are examining the roles of suppliers, intermediaries and other persons identified during these cases, along with the communication channels allegedly used to coordinate transactions.
EAGLE Helpline Supports Investigation
- The press note also highlighted the role of the EAGLE Force helpline, 1908, in receiving information about suspected drug consumption and supply.
- In one instance, information received through the helpline reportedly helped investigators identify a person who tested positive for MDMA consumption and allegedly disclosed obtaining the substance from the principal accused during visits to Goa.
- Authorities said the investigation is continuing to identify additional suspects, establish the extent of the alleged network and examine the financial and supply links behind the suspected drug trade.
