Hyderabad With the Bonalu festivities and the upcoming Second Safar procession approaching, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have stepped up field level inspections and planning to ensure smooth traffic management, public safety and peaceful conduct of the events.

As part of the preparations, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, IPS, along with senior police officials, inspected a 12 acre parcel of land at Aramghar. During the visit, officials examined the buildings and boundary limits of the property and directed staff to capture aerial footage using drone cameras for documentation and surveillance. They also instructed officials to coordinate with the Town Planning Department to identify boundaries, conduct a GPS based survey of all structures on the premises and prepare a detailed site map.

In a separate review, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-III) Rahul Hegde B.K., IPS, visited the Mir Chowk Traffic Police Station to assess arrangements for the Second Safar procession. He reviewed the route map, inspected the starting point of the procession and personally surveyed the entire route. Officials were instructed to implement comprehensive traffic diversion, crowd management and security measures to ensure the procession is conducted peacefully and without disruption.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-II) Kajal Singh, IPS, visited Langar Houz X-Roads to review preparations for the Golkonda Bonalu First Pooja. She inspected arrangements at the procession starting point and directed officials to ensure smooth conduct of the religious event. Police personnel were instructed to prioritize the safety and convenience of devotees while maintaining effective coordination and disciplined supervision throughout the Bonalu celebrations.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police said extensive planning and field inspections are being carried out to ensure safe, orderly, and hassle-free celebrations for devotees and the general public.
