Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally Police have solved a robbery case by arresting three accused and recovering the stolen mobile phone, cash and the scooter used in the crime.
According to police, the incident took place on June 26, 2026, at around 9:40 PM, when Smt. Pooja Sathy, who runs a pan shop in APCO Colony, was returning home on foot after closing her shop. Three unidentified persons allegedly arrived on an Activa scooter, assaulted her, and robbed her of her VIVO mobile phone and ₹4,500 in cash before fleeing the scene.
Based on the victim’s complaint, Mailardevpally Police registered a case and launched an investigation.
During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage, analysed technical evidence, and followed multiple leads to identify the suspects. On July 7, 2026, the investigating team successfully apprehended the three accused, identified as Mohammed Ghouse (19), Vadla Chandu (19), and Athamaraj Vikas (21).
Police recovered the complainant’s VIVO mobile phone, ₹1,200 in cash and the Activa scooter allegedly used in the commission of the offence.
The case was detected under the supervision of Sri A. Sudhakar, ACP, Chandrayangutta Division. The operation was carried out by the Mailardevpally Police Station team under the leadership of SHO Sri Sathyanarayana, along with DI Maqsood Ali and the Crime Staff.
Police credited the successful detection of the case to prompt investigation, technical analysis, CCTV surveillance and coordinated efforts by the investigating team. Further legal proceedings against the accused are underway.
