The Hyderabad City Police have arrested multiple accused persons allegedly involved in the murder of Advocate Khaja Moizuddin, who was killed in a suspected planned vehicle attack near his residence at Masab Tank in Hyderabad.
According to police officials, the incident took place on May 23, 2026, when Advocate Khaja Moizuddin was leaving for swimming early in the morning. Investigators said a Scorpio vehicle allegedly rammed into him intentionally near his residence, causing severe injuries. He later succumbed while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Initially, a case was registered at Nampally Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following the victim’s death, the case was altered to include murder charges.
Police said CCTV footage collected during the investigation showed the accused allegedly waiting near the advocate’s residence before deliberately hitting him with the vehicle and fleeing the scene. Through CCTV analysis, technical evidence and surveillance inputs, investigators identified the accused persons involved in the case.
According to the investigation, long-standing disputes reportedly existed between the deceased advocate and the family of accused Mujahid Alam Khan regarding Waqf properties and related legal cases in Hyderabad. Police alleged that the accused developed a grudge against the advocate due to ongoing legal disputes and setbacks in court matters.
Investigators further stated that accused Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahaboob Alam Khan allegedly conspired with associates to eliminate the advocate through a contract killing arrangement reportedly worth ₹15 lakh. Police claimed the accused had been conducting surveillance on the victim for several months before carrying out the attack using the Scorpio vehicle.

➤ Vinay
➤ Abhijeeth alias Nani
➤ Vikram Aditya alias Chintu
➤ Manideep alias Pogo Nani
Police said the Scorpio vehicle allegedly used in the crime, along with cash and mobile phones, was seized during the operation.
The investigation is being led by ACP P. Praveen Kumar of Abids Division with assistance from Inspector CH Saidulu, Sub-Inspector M.A. Adil Riyaz Khan and staff of Nampally Police Station under the supervision of senior officers of Hyderabad City Police.
Officials stated that efforts are continuing to trace remaining absconding accused and gather additional evidence connected to the case.
