A major medicine scam has been uncovered in Delhi, where authorities seized a large stock of drugs worth several lakhs during a raid. The operation was carried out by officials after receiving a tip off about illegal activities linked to the sale and distribution of medicines.
According to reports, the raid took place at a suspected storage facility where a huge quantity of medicines was found. Officials believe that many of these drugs were either fake, expired or being sold without proper licenses. The seized stock has been sent for further testing to confirm its quality and authenticity.
Police have detained a few individuals in connection with the case, and questioning is currently underway. Authorities are trying to find out how long the illegal business had been running and whether more people are involved in the network.
Health officials said that such illegal medicines can be dangerous for the public, as they may not meet safety standards and could harm patients instead of helping them. They also warned people to buy medicines only from trusted and licensed pharmacies.
Further investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected in the coming days. Officials have assured strict action against those responsible for putting public health at risk.
