Under the supervision of B. Balaswamy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Zone, Hyderabad, the Amberpet Police unit has successfully rescued a victim and arrested ten accused in a kidnapping case. The dramatic resolution comes after a coordinated investigation by the Amberpet team.
How the Case Unfolded
According to police sources, the kidnapping victim identity withheld for privacy was abducted from the Amberpet area following a dispute. The alleged perpetrators had demanded ransom and attempted to move the victim to an isolated location.
Noticing suspicious movement and aided by intelligence, Amberpet Police launched a rescue operation. Using CCTV footage, intercepted calls, and coordination with nearby units, the team located the hideout and brought the victim to safety.
Arrests & Investigation
Ten individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case. The accused are reported to include local residents and at least one person from outside Hyderabad. Seized evidence includes mobile phones, vehicles used in the crime and ransom payment trails.
The case is registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Criminal Conspiracy Act. The police are continuing deeper investigations to find any possible links and complete the chain of arrests.
Statement from Police
DCP B. Balaswamy commended the Amberpet Police for “swift action, teamwork and intelligence led tracking.” He said:
“No crime will be tolerated. Kidnapping and hostage taking are serious offences. Our message is clear those who prey on citizens will be brought to justice.”
A. Sudhakar, ACP, Amberpet Division, also praised the officers and assured the public that additional patrols and monitoring have been ordered in the zone to deter similar crimes.
