The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has made it mandatory for all registered candidates to update and validate their One Time Registration (OTR) profiles to be eligible for upcoming recruitment notifications in 2026.
The commission has fixed the deadline for completing the OTR update as 25 February 2026, urging aspirants not to delay the process.
Why the Update Is Mandatory
According to TGPSC officials, the OTR system serves as the central database for all candidates applying for government jobs through the commission. The update requirement has been introduced to ensure that candidate data remains accurate and reflects recent changes in educational qualifications, category status, and other personal details.
The move is also aimed at avoiding discrepancies during later stages such as certificate verification and final selection. The commission clarified that applications will not be accepted for future notifications unless the OTR profile is updated and validated within the stipulated time.
What Candidates Need to Update
Candidates are required to log in to the TGPSC portal using their registration ID and password, review their details carefully, and make corrections wherever permitted. Fields that can be updated include:
- Educational qualifications
- Mobile number and email ID
- Address details
- EWS and Non-Creamy Layer status
- Additional certificates, if any
Some core personal details remain locked to prevent misuse, the commission said.
Update Window and Advisory
The OTR update window opened on 19 January 2026 and will remain active until 25 February 2026. TGPSC has advised candidates to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid technical issues due to heavy traffic on the portal.
Officials also cautioned aspirants to ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and valid, as incorrect or incomplete information could lead to rejection of applications in future recruitments.
Impact on Future Recruitments
TGPSC has made it clear that only candidates with updated OTR profiles will be eligible to apply for any recruitment notifications issued after the deadline. Those who fail to complete the update process within the time limit will not be able to participate in upcoming selections, regardless of their eligibility.
