The government of Telangana is set to integrate its transport services with the national Vahan Portal starting March 23, marking a major step toward fully digital governance in the transport sector.
The integration will allow citizens to access a wide range of Vehicle related services online, Including registration, Ownership transfer, Tax payments and Permit applications. Officials say the move is aimed at simplifying procedures, reducing paperwork and improving transparency across Regional Transport Authority (RTA) operations.
With the rollout, vehicle owners in Telangana will no longer need to rely heavily on in person visits to RTA offices, as most services will be accessible through a unified digital platform. The system is also expected to streamline interstate vehicle transactions and reduce administrative delays.
Authorities have highlighted that the transition to the Vahan portal aligns with broader efforts to modernize public services and enhance ease of access for citizens. Technical teams have been working to ensure a smooth migration of existing data and minimal disruption during the rollout.
The initiative is expected to benefit lakhs of vehicle owners across the state, making transport related services faster, more efficient, and accessible from anywhere.
