Telangana Prepares to Attract Global Investments

Telangana is gearing up to promote its long term development agenda and investment opportunities at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, scheduled from 19 to 23 January 2026. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lead the Telangana Rising delegation to the forum, where the state plans to showcase its Vision 2047 roadmap and ambitious economic targets.

Focus on Vision 2047 and Economic Growth

The Telangana government intends to “Aggressively promote” its Telangana Rising 2047 vision, which outlines a long term plan to transform the state into a $3 trillion economy. The Vision 2047 document highlights a three pronged economic strategy focusing on urban core regions, peri urban manufacturing zones and rural agricultural areas.

The delegation will present the state’s economic roadmap to global leaders and investors at WEF, drawing on progress made from previous visits to Davos and the outcomes of the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. Officials have been instructed to follow up on investment proposals and commitments received earlier and to help resolve any pending issues.

Engagement with Global Investors

Telangana aims to position itself as a stable, investment friendly economy with robust infrastructure and policy incentives. The state plans to engage with international business leaders and organisations to attract funding and partnerships across sectors such as technology, clean energy, manufacturing and innovation‑led industries.

The WEF 2026 theme, “A Spirit of Dialogue” provides a platform for Telangana to highlight its strategic vision and investment potential and to seek tangible outcomes such as new projects, employment opportunities and strengthened international collaborations.

Background and Previous Investments

Telangana has previously hosted the Telangana Rising Global Summit, where significant investment commitments and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with global companies across sectors including manufacturing, data centres and advanced technology. These efforts have bolstered the state’s profile as a destination for both domestic and international investment.

In Summary

Telangana is actively preparing for WEF 2026 at Davos by highlighting its Vision 2047 development plan and engaging with global investors to attract capital and partnerships. The state government aims to build on past investment commitments and present a compelling case for economic growth and collaboration on a global stage.
