The technology sector in Telangana has reached a major milestone, with IT and IT enabled services exports crossing ₹3.6 lakh crore, highlighting the state’s growing importance in India’s digital economy.
Officials said the growth reflects increasing global demand for technology services and the rapid expansion of the IT ecosystem in Hyderabad, the state’s technology hub. Over the past few years, Hyderabad has attracted major global technology companies, startups and research centers, strengthening Telangana’s position as one of the country’s leading IT destinations.
According to industry experts, the sector has seen steady expansion driven by investments in areas such as Cloud computing, Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity and Digital services. Large technology firms as well as emerging startups continue to expand their operations in the region.
The state government has also focused on improving infrastructure, promoting innovation and creating policies aimed at supporting technology companies. These initiatives have helped increase employment opportunities and attract international investment into the sector.
Analysts note that Telangana’s IT growth is contributing significantly to India’s overall technology exports and strengthening the country’s reputation as a global IT services powerhouse.
With continued investments and rising demand for digital solutions worldwide, industry observers expect Telangana’s technology sector to maintain strong growth in the coming years.
