The Telangana government has stepped up efforts to rapidly develop the ambitious Bharat Future City project, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directing officials to complete 11 planned townships within 30 months.
Spread across around 30,000 acres, the Bharat Future City is being developed near Hyderabad, covering areas between Mirkhanpet and Mucharla villages in Kandukuru mandal of Ranga Reddy district. The project is envisioned as a next generation urban hub, designed to boost economic growth, attract global investments, and generate large-scale employment.
During a high level review meeting, the Chief Minister instructed departments to work in close coordination and remove bureaucratic delays. A dedicated Future City Development mechanism will oversee planning, approvals, and execution to ensure the strict timeline is met.
The 11 townships will include specialised hubs such as AI City, Electronics City, Healthcare City, Education City, Sports City, and Industrial clusters, along with residential and commercial zones. Emphasis is being laid on sustainable development, green spaces, smart mobility and advanced digital infrastructure.
The government aims to position Bharat Future City as a global business and innovation destination, capable of attracting multinational companies and major investors. Innovative concepts like energy efficient cooling systems, smart governance and eco friendly urban planning are also part of the blueprint.
Officials believe the project will significantly strengthen Telangana’s economy, improve urban infrastructure, and support the state’s long term development vision, making Bharat Future City a landmark project for the future of Hyderabad and Telangana.
