The Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) carried out coordinated raids on January 21, 2026 at properties linked to Arramada Venkat Reddy, a suspended Additional Collector (Revenue) of Hanamkonda district, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case. He also served as the in‑charge District Education Officer before his suspension.
The ACB registered a disproportionate assets case after earlier incidents revealed possible corruption, including an alleged bribe of ₹60,000 that led to his suspension in December 2025.
Officials conducted searches at his residence and seven other locations tied to him and his relatives, uncovering assets far exceeding his known lawful income. Identified immovable assets include:
- Two residential properties (a villa and a flat) valued at around ₹4.65 crore
- A commercial shop worth about ₹60 lakh
- Eight open plots valued around ₹65 lakh
- Agricultural land spanning 14.25 acres valued at about ₹50 lakh
In addition to property, the ACB also seized movable assets, including:
- Cash of approximately ₹30 lakh
- Bank balances totaling around ₹44 lakh
- Household articles worth about ₹11 lakh
- Three four‑wheeler vehicles valued at about ₹40 lakh
- Gold ornaments totaling 297 grams worth roughly ₹4.35 lakh
The total value of the assets identified so far is estimated at around ₹7.69 crore, and further verification is underway to trace any additional undisclosed assets and determine the full extent of disproportionate holdings.
The ACB’s action reflects ongoing efforts to combat corruption and misuse of public office in Telangana. Officials emphasized that the investigation continues and urged the public to report any corrupt practices by government officials.
