Washington: U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has sharply criticized the Trump administration for its foreign policy approach, warning against what he called an “Endless War” abroad.
During a press briefing, Schumer said that Americans are weary of continuous military engagements and expressed frustration with what he described as the administration offering “a different rationale every hour” for its actions overseas. He stressed that policymakers should provide clear and consistent explanations to Congress and the public regarding U.S. military involvement abroad.
Schumer also urged President Donald Trump to prioritize domestic challenges, including economic issues, healthcare and infrastructure, over prolonged foreign conflicts. “Our citizens are looking for solutions at home, not confusion abroad” he stated.
Political analysts say Schumer’s remarks reflect growing bipartisan concerns over the administration’s foreign policy messaging and the need for accountability in decisions that could affect both national security and public confidence.
The senator’s comments come amid ongoing debates in Washington about the U.S.’s role in international conflicts and the balance between global engagement and domestic priorities.
