Ramayana Sets Global Stage with Times Square Launch

The upcoming mythological epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, has officially begun its global promotional journey with a grand reveal across nine Indian cities, followed by a high-profile showcase at Times Square, New York. This marks a major step for Indian cinema, taking a beloved cultural tale to international audiences.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra (of Oppenheimer and Dune fame), Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part cinematic universe, with Part One scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part Two in Diwali 2027. The film is backed by world-class production values, including visual effects by DNEG, action choreography by Guy Norris (Mad Max), and performance capture led by Terry Notary (Planet of the Apes).

The film also features music legends Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, adding emotional depth to a narrative deeply rooted in Indian heritage. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman — an ensemble that’s already generating immense excitement.

Speaking about the vision, director Nitesh Tiwari said, “Ramayana is more than a film — it’s a cultural legacy brought to life with global scale and reverence.” With its Times Square debut, the film’s universal appeal is clear — Ramayana is being made not just for India, but for the world.
