Owaisi Slams Governance Failures

During a recent address in Hyderabad, AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi raised several pointed questions highlighting governance issues and concerns for minority communities in India. Speaking on social and political matters, he touched on topics ranging from gender imbalance to energy policy and religious freedoms.

Key points from his speech included:

  1. Low number of girl children in Gujarat: Owaisi questioned why the state continues to have a skewed gender ratio and why the ruling BJP government does not address this concern publicly.
  2. Dependence on Muslim majority countries for fuel: He asked why leaders in India who claim they “won’t take anything from Muslims” still import petrol and gas from Muslim countries.
  3. Pollution in the Ganga: Owaisi raised concerns about the environmental negligence when untreated sewage enters the river and questioned why BJP authorities appear indifferent.
  4. India’s foreign policy stance: He asked why the Indian Prime Minister has not strongly criticized the conflict involving Israel and the United States against Iran.
  5. Energy self reliance: Owaisi highlighted the contradiction between calls for a self reliant India and the fact that 60 percent of the country’s gas still has to be imported.
  6. Religious freedom and safety: Speaking about the ongoing Eid celebrations, he condemned threats to play a “Festival of Blood” and questioned why India’s Muslims cannot celebrate their religious festivals in peace.

The speech drew attention to the need for greater accountability, social justice, and protection of minority rights. Owaisi emphasized that governance should reflect both ethical responsibility and practical action on pressing social and political issues.
